Where All Karma Comes to an End

p. 228

where All Karma Comes to an Enc. The holy life is the easiest life of all. That is because the holy life is alife of non-resistance. In the holy life you are effortlessly carried by the river in the current of Nirvana. Everybody else is struggling. Unnecessarily they are grabbing weeds, pulling themselves up on the shore of samsara. They get caught again and again along the bank in the weeds as you flow by, going dovmstream. Weeds appear on either side of you, beckoning you to grab onto them. If you do you will resist the current and when you resist the current moving downstream you will always suffer. In the river it is always cool and refreshing. That's where all karma comes to an end. When this river takes you in its current you will be absolutely powerless. At that fast speed, in that middle place, you know that there is absolutely nothing you can do to change anything or to control anything. Remain in the center of the river always. In the center you will always be swept along by the current. Swept along by the current, you cannot hold onto anything. When you can no longer hold onto any branch or the shore in any way, you are Free. 2 2 8
