Renunciation Is Living Death

If you want to be Free, there’s only one path home a n d t h a t i s r e n u n c i a t i o n . It doesn't matter what teacher you go to, and it doesn't matter what tradition you follow. In the end the only path to Enlightenment is renunciation alone. Some people, because of pride, are unable to renounce the mind. That's why they continue to struggle and that's why they continue to suffer. It's only because they have so much pride that they can't renounce their own minds. The humility necessary for renunciation is not there. Without profound humility there is no possibility of renunciation. True renunciation is the ultimate risk. It's living your own death. 2 0 6
