Self-Doubt Is the Most Insidious Form of Doubt

p. 242

Self-Doubt Is the Most Insidious Form of Doubt Q: Ihave no doubt about the Absolute Reality but I have doubt about my ability to realize it completely.

A: If it's true that you have no doubt about the Absolute Reality, then it would not be possible for you to have any doubt about your own ability to realize it. Having no doubt about the Absolute Reality is the realization of it. Self-doubt is the most insidious form of doubt. It's just another form of temptation. Many people get foiled by it. They use self-doubt as an excuse to keep making the same mistakes. What is self-doubt? It's only an excuse not to change. 2 4 2 Pride and Humility The Only Appropriate Response to Freedom Is Humility When Profound Humility Is Present Real Confidence in the Truth Only Comes from True Knowledge of Emptiness P r i d e I s V i c i o u s 2 4 3
