Doubt Has Nothing to Do w i t h D i s c r i m i n a t i o n Q; I'm having adifficult time struggling with doubt.

A: If you want to be Free indulgence in and preoccu¬ pation with doubt can be very dangerous. Be very wary of doubt. Doubt is mechanically produced by the ego, and has nothing to do with discrimination. In most people the power of discrimination is very weak and underdeveloped, and it is only because of this that people ever get lost. Q: How can Itell the difference between doubt and d i s c r i m i n a t i o n ?

A: Discrimination makes you strong, doubt makes you weak. At Limes when your heart knows something is right, often the mind will doubt the heart. This can make progress very difficult. This delicate knowing of rightness has to be nurtured. The intimations of rightness are like little seeds that are just beginning to sprout. They need to be watered in order to grow. If you water these delicate intimations with doubt it is like pouring poison where you should be pouring water. 2 3 9 Don't Doubt Q: The conditioning that Ihave grown up with some¬ times clouds the path. It causes me to doubt my heart.

A: Do not doubt it. Q: It's easy to say.

A: It is easy to say. It's also easy to do. That's why Isay, "Don't doubt." As long as you doubt, you will keep los¬ ing touch with your heart. Q: I'm not clear on how to get rid of the doubt.

A: By throwing it out. If you saw your child playing in the kitchen, noticed she had found abottle of rat poison and could see she was about to drink it, what would you do? Q: Iwould slap it out of her hand.

A: Yes. Because you know how dangerous it is. When you know how dangerous doubt is, you will do the same thing. An ignorant person doesn't realize how dangerous doubt is, so they allow themselves to indulge in doubt and by doing so they destroy the possibility of truly waking up in this birth. 2 4 0
