Meeting the Teacher

Q: Does ihe ego die only when it is in relationship to the Teacher?

A: The ego doesn’t go anywhere, but it can be tricked. People are so identified with thoughts and ideas that they are not aware of who they are. When you meet the Teacher atrick happens. In spite of thoughts, ideas, feel¬ ings, and memories, the Self is realized. Yes, in spite of that, the Self is realized. The ego doesn't go anywhere. The ego doesn't change. In spite of that, something happens. Nothing is born. Nothing dies. Something is Realized. This is the trick. This is meeting the Teacher. 11 3 ASpontaneous Event If you are lucky enough to find your Teacher, in that meeting, you will actually begin to see before your very own eyes yourself becoming aligned to your True Self. You will actually feel it happening. This is asponta¬ neous event in which you begin to feel closer to who you always have been. You will feel more like who you are. You will feel afreedom from identifying yourself with other people and outside events. You will realize a natural condition of being. In this experience there is a profound resonance in agreat harmony. There is ecstasy in this release. When you truly meet your Teacher, this is what happens. 11 4
