Seeing Things as They Are Is Letting Go

p. 100

Letting go is not something you can do. If you want to let go you only have to see everything as it is. You only need to see ever)ahing as it is until you no longer have any doubt about what it is you are looking at. That is all you have to do. Seeing things as they are is letting go. You have to look and look and look again until there is absolutely no mystery about the contents of your own mind. As long as there is any trace of suspicion or doubt about the ultimate nature of any thought, it will be impossible to let go of anything. t o o Let It Enc Q; I'm not interested in seeking anymore. 1feel in my heart avery strong urge to have it end.

A: Then let it end, that's all. It’s very easy. You just have to open your eyes. When you're ready just open your eyes, it's all very obvious. It's amystery the way every¬ body imagines that they don't know. If you are able to reject unconditionally every idea your mind produces, you will be able to accept ever)'thing as it is right now. It will all be finished. You will be ecstatic. You will see how nothing has limited your view except adesire to grasp and to know. When you give up the need to grasp and to know you will realize how the very desire to grasp Liberation was blinding you. If you want it to end you must be able to accept your¬ self absolutely, as you are now, until you are no longer an issue. You must no longer be interested or fascinated with you. As long as you allow yourself to remain important, then you will only be aware of how you feel —whether you feel happy or unhappy, disturbed or peaceful. When you are no longer interested in you, the splendor that you seek will be all around you. Allow yourself to realize that you have always been blessed. Allow yourself to let everything be. Only then will it be possible to realize that blessedness which is always there. If you are so lucky that you are able to let things be, then you have to be prepared for the shock. This blessedness is so awesome that it can shock your whole system. You may feel that you can't contain it. This is what revelation is. 1 0 2 i l e n o u n c e Ti m e R e n o u n c e T i m e If You Hide Behind Time 1 0 3 R e n o u n c e Ti m e Q; How can Iwake up?

A: By piercing the veil of illusion. Q: How do Ido that?

A: By giving up all your desires and fears. Q: How do Ido that?

A: By allowing ever>'thing to be as it is. Q: 1need to understand that on adeeper level than t h e i n t e l l e c t u a l .

A: Then by all means allow that to happen right now. Allow everything to be as it is. Abandon the process of overcoming the past and preparing for the future. All that's involved is the profound renunciation of time itself. It's very simple. But unless this renunciation is complete, it won't work. It has to be unconditional. Then you will discover true meditation, and that's when the spiritual life begins. 1 0 4
