When You Truly Pay Attention Karma Comes to an End

p. 227

when You Truly Pay Attention Karma Comes to an Enc Q: Do you have to be careful about your thoughts?

A: Everyone has to be very careful about their thoughts. To be careful means to pay close attention, that's all. You have to be diligent. You must be mindful every second and between each and every second, otherwise you will definitely make amistake. Q: Is that apractice?

A: No, it's away of life. If your desire for Enlightenment is sincere then mindfulness will be there naturally. It will be there because you won't want to get caught, because you won't want to get stuck, because you don't want to make amistake. If your desire for Enlightenment is unconditional the kind of attention I'm speaking about will be your natural state. When you choose to allow yourself no other option, mindfulness is choiceless. With this kind of sincerity, when you look back over your shoulder you will find that there is nothing there. When you truly pay attention, karma comes to an end. 2 2 7
