Imagine aThrone

p. 158

Imagine athrone, and imagine that your mind is seat¬ ed on that throne. This is the position and condition in which most people live their lives, prostrated before and in submission to the mind. This position and condition is called ignorance, is called delusion and is called samsara. When for some mysterious reason the mind and the heart trade places you will suddenly realize acompletely new and radically different perspective. With the heart now seated on the throne and the mind now in prostration before and in submission to the heart everything will look very different. One will find anew perspective impossible to imagine. This altered position and new condition is Enlightenment. This altered position and new condition is the goal of all spiritual seeking and is the fulfillment of the heart’s true longing for emancipation. 1 5 8
