Hold onto Nothing

p. 131

Q: When Iexperience profound insight it often slips away. It becomes only amemory and I'm always afraid that it won't come back.

A: That is because your insight is not deep enough. You have not yet understood that there is nothing to lose and nothing to gain. Don't hold onto anything. When you are free of having to understand there is only knowing. When you abide in that knowing what you need to understand will come to you. You don't have to walk around grasping onto understanding with your mind —that will only clutter up your brain. Q: I've been holding onto understanding.

A: Hold onto nothing. Everything has to go. That's what surrender is. 1am happy because Iknow without any doubt that there is nothing to hold onto. Q: 1have to be sure of that. A; Don't wait to be sure. Don't wait for the next experi¬ ence. Don't wait for the next confirmation. Let go now. 1 3 1
