What Does It Feel Like to Be Nowhere?

p. 146

Q: If Iget Enlightened where would Istand in relation¬ ship to my personal history and identity? A : N o w h e r e . Q: What does it feel like to be nowhere? A; It feels free. Independent. It feels like amask has been taken off. You cannot imagine who you are any¬ more. When people call your name you no longer have any idea who they know you to be. You honestly won't know. Even if you try and make an effort to conjure up what you appear like in the eyes of others, you won't be able to. Most people have avery fixed, sure idea of who they are, who they have been, and who they want to become. When you wake up you might still have some vague memory of who you thought you were before you realized that you had no idea —but that will be all there is left. 1 4 6
