A Trust That Is Absolute

A Trust That Is Absolute T he spiritually awakened condition is one in which the individual has realized a trust that is absolute. What is extraordinary about this condition is that in it there is no difference between the experience of trust in the personal self and trust in life itself. This attainment of nonduality and perfect wholeness forces those who are sincere to question fundamental beliefs about barriers that have been created in the eye of the mind. The barriers between self and other, self and world all come into question when one contemplates the liberating implications of experiencing a trust that is absolute. Looking at the human condition in relationship to the highest possibility of perfect Liberation, one finds that it is the presence of trust that destroys all boundaries and all notions of separation. In fact, the literal demonstration of an absolute principle is the experience of and ability to manifest a trust that is absolute, a trust in which the division between the personal self and the absolute principle has been destroyed. When an individual is able to sustain this attainment with unbroken consistency, something sacred has occurred. The liberating power of absolute trust cannot and will not reveal itself as long as the need to remain separate, isolated and alone, apart from the other and apart from the totality of life is tolerated. Indeed, only when the need to remain separate has died once and for all will the liberating power of absolute trust become manifest in this world in such a way that demonstrates the living presence of an absolute principle. It is the power of a trust that is absolute that makes all things possible. In its presence the distinction between heaven and earth, nirvana and samsara is destroyed. When absolute trust is found there will be ­nothing more to attain, because literally nothing will exist between the personal self and the rest of life.
