Enlightened awareness is the conscious cognizance of eternity. That which is timeless and formless and beginningless and endless. We want to go back to before the beginning and after the end. That's the goal. The destination in our conscious awareness is to go back before the beginning of time simultaneously after the end of everything. That's what we're interested in before the beginning and after the end is our destination. And the secret to that destination, the secret process of the secret act, the mysterious act that can catalyze profound spiritual liberation and inner freedom is the very simple act of letting go unconditionally, radically and completely. So all you need to do to experience unimaginable depth and inner freedom is to let go of your mind and the emotions that are attached to your thoughts. We can all do that if we really want to. It's dependent upon the cultivation of the intention to be free. I want to be free more than anything else. I want to be happy. I want to know that which is eternal, timeless, formless, beginningless and endless, beyond birth and beyond death. I want to know that which is unmovable and unchanging. The ultimate singularity beyond time and space. So the secret in the process, the secret in the practice, the secret way we can approach radical inner freedom is simply the act of letting go of the mind and all the feelings we have that are related to our thoughts. We want to focus on letting go, not trying to understand anything, not trying to see anything clearly. We don't want to work anything out or try to understand anything. We just want to be free. The secret of inner freedom is letting go unconditionally, radically and completely, totally, without reservation, without hesitation, with commitment. The metaphor I always like to use is like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute. And the only reason to jump out of an airplane without a parachute is because you don't have any intention of coming back. Means you really intend to let go without conditions. and you will only let go of our conditions if you truly want to be free. So it's the cultivation of the desire or the radical intention for freedom that allows us to let go of absolutely everything. And remember in this context it's very safe to let go because you're by yourself. You're alone. You're very safe. Nothing bad can happen. So meditation is the contemplation of consciousness. Is the contemplation of the nature of consciousness. So as you're sitting quietly with your eyes closed, simply begin to contemplate the nature of your own interiority, your own consciousness. All you need to do is pay attention to your own consciousness. Consciousness is the ground of your experience in every moment. It's always there. It's never far away. So you simply need to pay attention to the ground of your own experience in this moment. And the ground of your own experience in this moment which is consciousness has no beginning and has no end. There are no boundaries. So pay attention to that in your own experience which has no beginning and no end. boundaries. And you'll find as you begin to pay attention to the ground of your own experience, which is consciousness that the nature of consciousness, the nature of your own consciousness, is timeless and formless and beginningless and endless. So simply give attention to that in your own experience right now, which is timeless and formless and beginningless and endless. It's very easy. Simply allow yourself to pay attention to everything to see everything. See everything and focus on no one thing. That's how you can awaken to your own consciousness or to the consciousness is always already present in your own experience. Simply see everything and focus on no one thing. See everything and focus on nothing. See everything, focus on nothing. Allow your attention to become vast and radically inclusive. Not at all exclusive. So once again, see everything and focus on nothing. Be very still. Don't move. Sit like the Buddha with dignity and selfrespect with a profound intention for liberation. So all you need to do is to pay attention to the ground of your own experience and let go. Paying attention and letting go is the path and the goal in this context. It's very easy, very simple and very profound. Simply pay attention and let go of everything and continue to pay attention and let go of everything and continue to pay attention and let go of everything. and continue to pay attention and let go. Be absolutely still. Don't move a muscle. See everything. Focus on the one thing. Pay attention and let go. Pay attention and let go. Pay attention and let go. Don't think. Don't think about thinking. Just pay attention to paying attention. see everything. Focus on no one thing. Pay attention and let go. Keep paying attention and letting go. Keep paying attention and letting go. Paying attention to the nature of consciousness, not to the content of consciousness. Seeing everything, focusing on nothing. Pay attention and let go.
